Daniel Camargo, originally from the lush Southern part of Brazil, found inspiration in both nature's beauty and the urban landscape of the megalopolis capital of Curitiba. Naturalized American, Camargo's artistic journey led him to develop a unique style that blends complexity in substance, with elegantly simple forms.
His work, whether expressed through his paintings, sculptures or drawings, weaves a consistent thread of character with genuine energy, and invariably unravelling the Light and the Shadows. From ancient entities, to mysticism, faith, dreams, Human emotion and Love - each piece exists long before it comes into the light. Daniel's creative process involves listening, tuning-in, and seeking the elusive truth, finding the hidden treasures from the vast fabric of the Cosmos. Much like our ancestors in hunting or creating fire, his work is a direct result of this primal quest.
Daniel's pursuit of Superior Degrees in Industrial Design and Printmaking in Brazil, and with his extensive journey in the Nuts & Bolts of Architecture, has leaded him to further enhance his artistic vision. Among his most influential artists, are the immortals, Hans Ruedi Giger, renowned for his dark and surreal biomechanical art; Maurits Cornelis Escher, the master of mind-bending tessellations and impossible geometry; and the genius of Salvador Dalí, whose dreamlike landscapes continue to captivate the collective subconsciousness.
